Team OPN – What you should know
Join us, as we traverse the life and times of three jobless characters, whose everyday work includes sending random text messages and equally random group mails.
Main Characters:
Kalaai Character Badri
Social worker, and the most visible character among the three, he has an opinion about everything under the sun. Always begins a conversation with random statements, usually from a Koundamani movie. Usually caught in a fantasy world where he imagines himself to be a ladies man. Blames his bad luck with women on Deva. His main topics of interest include food, cars and history of Harappa. Mirror cracking material, but bad luck resides in his mouth.
Jiguna Deva
The boy next door. Whose ass you want to kick. The only match for Badri’s talents. An IIM-L grad. But roams around like IIMAT – Aminjikarai Branch student. Puts up random statements as his gtalk status message, usually pissing off Badri. A Lehmann Brothers aspirant, he was driven to depression when the company dhivaalled. Also tried his luck with girls, with no luck. Same bad luck, but residing in his keyboard..
Pandu Balaji
Main man Balaji. The voice of reason. IAS. Inspiration for the character of “Raj” in popular sit-com, The Big Bang Theory. Solely responsible for wrecking both Badri’s and Deva’s love lives with his world knowledge on girls. Same mirror cracking material. Known for sending detailed answers using text messages. Girls fall for him for no apparent reason, usually pissing us all off.
Recurring Characters:
Dhivakar, BE, MBA, MBBS, FRCS (London)
Sangeetha, MS in abroad
Mrs. Deepa, Freedom Fighter
This blog will document some of the opportune episodes from their lives, exaggerated for special effects. It will contain a lot of local lingo, which can piss off non Tamil readers, for which we apologize profoundly, but these characters don’t know even English properly. They usually talk this way. Kindly adjust.
